WEATHER

Yogyakarta has a warm tropical, climate with two seasons; wet and dry. The wet season lasts from October to March and the heaviest rains occur in December and January. The temperature throughout the year averages from 24s to 31° C (30,: to 87"F) and the humidity averages about 75%.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

A valid passport and Visa are required when visiting Indonesia. There  are a range of visas that  can  be applied for  at your closest Indonesian Embassy: tourist visa, study visa, and cultural, visa. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

There are many different modes of public transportation available such as pedicabs, horse carts, ojeks (cheap 2 - wheel taxis), taxis and city buses.Most students use bikes, motorcycles & buses for their transportation needs.It is safe to cycle, ride pedicabs or horse carts, as Yogyakarta's terrain is flat and the roads are paved.

MONEY CHANGER AND BANKS

Most hotels from three to five star provide foreign currency exchange services. There are also numerous money changers in the Malioboro area.Local Banks provide a full international service,including money transfer, Visa, Master Card,Cirrus,Alto networks.
