Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship

Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (Developing Country Partnership Scholarships), popularly known as KNB Scholarship, is a scholarship awarded by the government of the Republic of Indonesia to selected applicants originating from developing countries who wish to pursue higher education in Indonesia. Available for Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate degree, the scholarship has been awarded to 1.290 students from 94 countries since 2008.

The KNB Scholarship has played a critical role in assisting Indonesian higher education institutions in their internationalization efforts. The number of scholarships offered each year has continued to rise in order to meet the growing number of applications from all over the world. The scholarship is also working to strengthen its links with reputable public and private universities across the country. Through this, the scholarship has helped Indonesian higher education institutions improve their quality in order to achieve the requirements of internationally renowned universities.

Darmasiswa Indonesian Scholarship

Darmasiswa Scholarship Program is a scholarship program offered by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia to all foreign students from countries which have diplomatic relations with Indonesia. 

Started in 1972 as part of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) initiative, the program was then extended in 1976 to students from countries outside ASEAN such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the USA.

The scholarship aims to promote and increase the interest in the language and culture of Indonesia amongst the youth of other countries. It has also been designed to provide stronger cultural links and understanding between participating countries. 

Darmasiswa awardees will have the opportunity to learn Indonesian language, art, and culture for one-year in an Indonesian university of their choice. To date, Darmasiswa Scholarship has been awarded to 9110 students from more than 135 countries to study in 72 universities across Indonesia.

Gadjah Mada International Fellowship (GMIF)

The Gadjah Mada International Fellowship (GMIF) Degree Program stands as a beacon of educational opportunity, extended by Universitas Gadjah Mada to international students seeking to pursue a Master’s and Doctoral degree. With a special emphasis on candidates from the ASEAN region (excluding Indonesia) and Global South Countries, this scholarship program aims to empower individuals with outstanding academic achievements to excel in their chosen fields of study.

Through the pursuit of Master’s and Doctoral degrees in relevant fields, GMIF participants not only enhance their own knowledge and skills but also lay the foundation for progress and development within their home countries. The Indonesian AID Scholarship (TIAS)

The Indonesian AID Scholarship (TIAS) is a grant program from the Indonesian Government aimed to support the achievement of SDGs targets, especially in the education sector. As a reflection of the spirit of the Asia-Africa Summit, the Indonesian AID scholarship will develop the skills and expertise of future leaders from Indonesia’s priority countries. It acts as a soft diplomacy to strengthen cooperation and friendship among partner countries through the development of human resources between countries.

TIAS offers a diploma (including professional education offered), bachelor and master degree program for Civil Servants, government officers and persons officially nominated by the targeted government. This scholarship offers an unforgettable educational experience in Indonesia through studying at a well-known university and polytechnic as well as living experience in a multicultural and multilingual country.

Through TIAS, students will enhance their intellectual standing, develop their competencies, and open wider professional opportunities, a foundation for post-college success.
