Requirements

If you are interested in applying for a program offered on this website, you need to meet the eligibility below:

  • Have a certificate of graduation for undergraduate program, have a bachelor degree for master program, or have a master degree for doctoral program
  • Non-native English speakers must have a score of TOEFL, ITP/IBT or IELTS minimum according to each faculties.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for Master’s & Doctoral programs

Furthermore, this page will help you by providing a list of required documents you should have in time for your application.

Mandatory documents for any program:

      1. Colored Scan of Passport (Cover page and Personal Information pages only) 
      2. Official Passport-sized Photograph (A Red background Photograph, clear colour, wearing collared clothes/shirts, not a hoodie or revealing clothes, please refer to the following example)
        Please refer to these common mistakes

Additional documents if the program ask are:

  1. Official Academic Transcripts, issued by your academic institution (in English)
  2. Curriculum Vitae (Resume/Personal Data)
  3. Diplomas for Degree Program Applicants (in English)
  4. Essay (if required by the Faculty)
  5. IELTS/TOEFL Certificate, minimum score as required from the program
  6. Personal Statement (Use this template)
  7. Financial Support Statement (Use this template)
  8. Good Health Statement, issued by doctor in any format in English (or use this template)
  9. International Health Insurance (in English)
  10. Recommendation/Nomination Letter from home university
  11. Student ID Card for Non-Degree Program Applicants
  12. Supervision Approval from Proposed Supervisor
  13. Research Proposal (Master by Research or PhD only)

Not all of the listed documents will be asked for every program, but it is important to prepare them beforehand as some documents may take time.

Keep in mind that each faculty/major may also require for other additional documents. Should there be other additional documents outside what are listed above, you can send them through email on admission@ugm.ac.id
