DCSE Global Talent Scholarship 2024

DCSE Global Talent Scholarship is a scholarship offered by the Department of Computer Science and Electronics (DCSE) for overseas students to take a Master/Doctoral degree by research to demonstrate the need of financial assistance.

Up to six scholarships are available for eligible students to study in the Department of Computer Science and Electronics, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia in one of the following programs.

    • Master Program in Computer Science
    • Master Program in Artificial Intelligence
    • Master Program in Electronics and Instrumentation.
    • Doctoral Program in Computer Science

    Main Requirements

    • Bachelor or Master certificate from a registered/official university in country of origin. Preferably for ASEAN countries, but other countries may still apply.
    • Prospective students must have citizenship other than Indonesia and come from abroad.
      TOEFL 550, IELTS 6, IBT 70.
    • Have a research proposal for with 1.5 years of timeline for Master, and 3 years for Doctoral.

The Indonesian AID Scholarship (TIAS) 2024

The Indonesian AID Scholarship (TIAS) is a grant program from the Indonesian Government aims to support the achievement of SDGs targets, especially in the education sector. As a reflection of the spirit of the Asia-Africa Summit, the Indonesian AID scholarship will develop the skills and expertise of future leaders from Indonesia’s priority countries. It acts as a soft diplomacy to strengthen cooperation and friendship among partner countries through the development of human resources between countries.
TIAS offers a diploma (including professional education offered), bachelor and master degree program for Civil Servants, government officers and persons officaly nominated by the targeted government. This scholarship offers an unforgettable educational experience in Indonesia through studying at a well-known university and polytechnic as well as living experience in a multicultural and multilingual country. Post Graduate Scholarship for Overseas Students 2023

The scholarship is dedicated for overseas students of Master and Doctoral Degree. Priority will be given to students from Asian region and have not received any scholarships from other institutions/agencies/sponsors (candidates from other region may still apply).

Scholarship Scheme

Full Scholarship are awarded from the beginning until the end of the study period, with maximum of 4 semesters for Masters and 8 semesters for Doctoral degree;

On Going Scholarship are awarded for overseas students registered as students at Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, UGM. read more

Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Scholarship 2023

Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Scholarship is a scholarship program offered for students coming from Non-Aligned Movement member countries under the cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation.

The scholarship will offer international students a unique experience of Indonesia’s higher education institution and multicultural community. Scholarship awardees will have the opportunity to learn the Indonesian language and culture and engage with the local communities they live in. Study at UGM with Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship 2023

Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang, popularly known as KNB Scholarship, is a prestigious scholarship program offered by the government of the Republic of Indonesia to selected applicants originating from developing countries. Managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the scholarship has been disbursed since 2006 to 1,608 recipients from 97 countries.

The role of KNB Scholarship has been central in supporting Indonesian higher education institutions in their endeavor for internationalization. The number of international students is indicative of the global visibility of higher education institutions. In support of Indonesian universities’ internationalization and to accommodate the increasing interest from applicants all around the world, the number of scholarships being awarded every year has continued to grow. read more

About this course

This seminar will deal with current human-environment relationships and, in particular, ask about changes and its reinterpretations under pandemic conditions. In the seminar we will first get an  overview of basic literature – especially in the areas of Environmental Anthropology, Political Ecology and Planetary Health – and then prepare and carry out small empirical projects. These can, for example, focus on the human-animal relationship, human-garbage, spiritual cosmologies, understanding of healing or environmental activism. The seminar sessions are partly carried out digitally, together with anthropology students from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta (this is why there are occasionally three-hour sessions in English, to compensate for cancellation in other weeks, so that we have a total of two semester hours). read more
